For Small to Medium Size Dogs

We are licensed and awarded 5* for Doggy daycare and Dog boarding by the Bromley council. Our home has been thoroughly inspected to certify that we provide the highest standard of care, welfare, and the most suitable environment for dogs. Additionally, we are fully insured for public liability, canine first aid trained, and hold the relevant qualification in Canine care, Behaviour, and Welfare (Ofqual Level 3), meeting the Animal Activity Licensing Higher Standard requirements. So you can rest assured that your dog is in safe hands!

This is a small family run dog home boarding providing a ‘home from home’ experience for your dog. We offer both Daycare and Home Boarding services. Your little one will stay with us in a clean comfortable home, will be treated like part of our family with lots of love and cuddles.

We specialise in caring for small and medium breeds, accepting no more than two dogs at a time to ensure they all receive our full attention. Rest assured, we carefully consider the compatibility of dogs from different households, ensuring that they feel safe and happy with each other. Dogs are social animals, and your little one will enjoy having friends around, providing a pawsome time they've never experienced before!

We will send daily updates, including numerous pictures and videos, to keep you reassured about how your little one is doing while you are away.

About us

Untitled

Hello! My name is Kiyoko. I live in Bromley with my husband, teenage son, and our dog called Astro. Astro is an eight year old Poochon, a cross between a Bichon Frise and Toy Poodle. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and, of course, well socialised with other dogs.

I used to work for airlines for many years, therefore owning a dog was just a dream. It finally turned into reality in 2015. Since I became a dog owner, embarked upon a new adventure with Astro, starting Dog Home Boarding. So far, we’re loving it! We have made so many pawfriends, and they’re so happy and excited when they return to stay with us, as if we’re part of their family.

It has been an absolute pleasure looking after so many pawsome friends and meeting their owners. We would love to meet more lovely doggies so please get in touch!

-Experience and Qualifications-

First of all, I am so pleased that I have been awarded a 5 Star Dog Boarding Licence by Bromley Council. Obtaining the highest rated licence isn’t easy so this is a real achievement!

I have extensive experience with dogs as I grew up with them. Throughout the years, I have cared for many dog breeds, dogs with different personalities from shy and nervous to super friendly dogs, as well as puppies and senior dogs. Also I have dealt with different behavioural and health issues, hence I have gained a Pet First Aid certificate and Ofqual Level 3 Award in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare, meeting the Animal Activity Licensing Higher Standard requirements, so that I can provide more reliable and Professional service.

Lately, I have attended IMDT Dog Trainer and Instructor courses to enhance my knowledge and skills. With all this practical experience, I am currently enrolled in a Behaviour Consultation course, starting a new journey towards becoming a canine behaviourist.

Lastly, I love taking pictures of dogs, if you have time, take a look at my Instagram accounts for more adorable dog photos.

Our typical day 🐾🐾

We go for two walks, at least an hour walk in a park in the morning, and a shorter walk in the afternoon. We ensure that dogs get plenty of stimuli and quality time while walking; Did you know a slow walk with plenty of time for sniffing is much more tiring for dogs than a faster, long walk? It also helps them feel calm, relaxed, happy while reducing their stress. So we never rush but allow dogs plenty of time to enjoy their natural behaviours such as sniffing, socialising, chasing birds, splashing in water and playing some games together, all while ensuring safety!

We take dogs to various parks in Bromley such as Whitehall rec, Norman Park, Beckenham Place Park, Jubilee Park, High Elms Country Park, Scadbury Park and Hawkwood.

At home, we provide them with lots of toys and puzzle games. We also play together such as tug of war, treasure hunting, hide and seek and more. After all these activities, they’re usually worn out both physically and mentally, can’t wait for a big nap with four legs up!

Your dogs are free to have naps whenever and wherever as they wish, just like they do at home.

NB: I'm happy to accommodate special requirements for exercise, dietary, and medical needs, including oral and injection administrations.

Questions and Answers

Frequent Questions

I know that letting someone else take care of your dog can be difficult. To make the process a little easier, I’ve put together some of the questions I’m frequently asked. If there’s something I’ve missed, just reach out and I’ll do my best to help.

Home: FAQ

It’s our first time our dog will stay away from us. Is it possible for her to have a trial night?

I strongly recommend a couple of daycares and a boarding before you go on holiday. All dogs get stressed and nervous especially if it's their first time. Therefore it’s very important to ensure your dog is happy with us before you leave for holiday. However, let me reassure you that we’ve looked after so many dogs but haven’t had a single dog never settled, even some shy or nervous dogs have settled in after a few days with us. I sometimes wonder if Hachi was a real story?... :) Dogs are adaptable but this doesn't mean that they don't get stressed with change.

Kiyoko is a very special dog boarder that we feel so lucky to have found. She really took so much care to find out about our 2 year old Cockapoo before he went to stay and he instantly bonded with her. Lincoln had never stayed away from us before and Kiyoko did everything and more to make him feel at ease in her home and the regular photos, texts and video updates were wonderful. I cannot thank her and her lovely family enough for the care and attention they gave him. If I ever need a boarder again, Kiyoko would be my first choice, amazing!
